or me, life is passionate creativity . . .

I love beauty and excitement, and order within the chaos of living.  I have an impassioned relationship with God and He is the reveal between my soul and my canvas.

In these new paintings, form is trumped by innate and accrued creative experience bursting forth direct to the canvas.

Previously, my paintings have been expository interpretations of my environment where form has been each painting’s genesis.  A beautiful fall morning, a poignant sky, the dark beauty of the forest, the white chill of winter and bright, intense heat of summer, these were the feelings or sketches I took with me to paint in my basement studio.

These new paintings are miracles sifted through God’s fingers.  They are the raw totality of my life experience and creative passion straight to the canvas.  Each one is unique and spontaneously of the moment.

Angles versus swirls; linear swipes and curvilinear squiggles, swishes and smooshes, movement, power, softness… Color: strong and bold, dark and deep, clear and sparkly, vibrant and alive contrasting with warm, soft and quiet… Spontaneously sure, ardent and fierce…
